I can't believe it...My baby is 3 today. She was so excited when she woke up and we told her today was her birthday. She has been telling us for a few days now that everyday was her birthday, and when I would tell her it wasn't her birthday yet, she would be so upset. You can imagine the look of excitement on her face when she found out that it really was her birthday! I told Chris last night that 3 years ago today I was scared out of my mind. I was nervous about the labor and delivery, and about raising a child. I remember he told me that it was too late to go back, so lets go for it. I can't imagine the last 3 years without her. What a boring life it would have been. She is the most delightful(most of the time) little angel. Everything to her is "so beautiful.." She is so innocent and loves to play. She is my little princess and my best buddy. She is so loving, and loves to give big hugs and kisses. Yes mom and dad, as much as I won't admit it, I love the sassy little thing she is. You always wished I would have a little girl just like me to cause as much havoc in my life as I did in yours. Well I got her!! And I wouldn't trade her for another in the world. Here are a few pictures of Madison being Madison.

Almost 3!!!

(Sorry this one is blurry. She wouldn't hold still!)
Come find me...
Maddie is really big on playing hide and seek right now. The other day I heard her ask Chris to help her build a tent. They got out chairs and blankets, and next thing ya know, I hear Maddie yelling, "Mommy, come and find me..." So I pretend like I don't know where she is, and as I come around the corner from the kitchen, this is what I see...

Madison's "owie"
Tonight we were at my grandparents, like we always are on Sunday nights, having dinner. Madison was watching the boys play basketball, and one of my little cousins bumped into her and knocked her over. She got a nice scrap on her nose and her knee. She kept telling people, "That guy, he just tipped into me." It was cute too because my cousin Allie is 4 months older than Madison, and she cried just as hard as Madison because her "friend" was hurt. Kids are so funny like that. Here is her nose and knee a few hours later. The pictures don't do it justice.

Charlie Cooper
I have been thinking about this for a while now, and thought I would share. You know you are an old married couple when you sit in bed at night and watch the news. I love KSL, especially because I can keep up-to-date during the day at work, and watch it at night. A few weeks ago I saw a story about a little boy named Charlie Cooper. He is the most innocent boy ever. He got really sick a while ago, and was at Primary Childrens for 3 months before he finally went home sometime last week. His family also has a blog to keep family and friends updated on his progress. I have honestly been touched by this little boy's journey. It is so hard as a parent to have a sick child, and I can't even begin to imagine how his parents feel to be so helpless. But through it all they have been so positive. As I read his blog, (I can't stop now) I am truly impressed with the hope and strength that they have as a family. I honestly believe we chose our trials in heaven, and what great people to have chosen that one. I personally don't think I would make it. They have been an inspiration to me of sincere faith in Heavenly Father. Here is his blog address if any of you want to see this amazing little boy and this amazing family. We pray for him every night, and hope his family knows how wonderful they really are.

Happy Mother's Day (2 days early...)
Happy Mother’s Day!
What better occasion than Mother’s Day to post my first blog entry and tell everyone just how much I love my wife.
From paying the bills to helping bring home the bacon, and cooking it too (cause we all know I cant cook…), Lindsey seems to be able to do it all with ease. She never ceases to amaze me at how she is able to balance everything that is thrown at her.
Linds, we’ve been through a lot over the four short years we’ve been married. Especially with everything that we’ve gone through over the past year or so. But I want you to know that I wouldn’t want to have gone through it with anyone else but you. Thank you for all your support and love that you’ve shown me and the love and patience that you give to Maddie.
I love you sweetie.
Chris
